Have you been streaming a lot of historical drama using Sarasota County Libraries’ Hoopla service? Elsie Quirk has an abundant genealogy collection to help you unfold your own personal historical drama. We have just made a fresh new home for our genealogy collection, adjacent to our Florida collection. We look forward to inviting you to explore these wonderful collections when it is judicious to open our building to the public, but in the meantime, you can place holds on genealogy books and begin your adventure with a curbside pick-up.
While here at Elsie Quirk we have gone from Rosie the Riveter energy with our mask sewing factory, to Ernestine Telephone Operator energy with our curbside appointment making, we are operating with the same enthusiasm and gratitude for serving the community. We continue to welcome your phone calls; we encourage you to check out the Sarasota County website for abundant virtual programs; and we are rapidly developing even more ways to serve patrons safely and robustly during this challenging time.
