Baila Miller is back at Elsie Quirk Library February 14 at 10:30 a.m. with a brand new program detailing the lives of J.P. Morgan and Belle da Costa Greene. Seating is limited, so we encourage everyone to come early. This program is presented free of charge thanks to Sarasota County’s One Book One Community program and the Library Foundation for Sarasota County.

  • Elsie Quirk Library is marching into Spring with a lineup of exciting programs! Back by popular demand are Chef Warren, Vermont’s Easy Street, and Laughter Yoga with Cathy Grippi. For tweens, local artist Judy Levine will offer a “Golden Age Printmaking Class” to complement our One Book, One Community program and its corresponding book – The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict.   • Have you seen our Lemon Bay Fest Art Exhibit yet? There is still time to place your bid for one of these zesty pieces donated by local artists! You may bid as many times as you wish, after registering for a bidder number at the library front desk. The auction closes on February 28 at 6 p.m. and winners will be contacted on March 1. Thank you to all who have participated so far!
