Sept. 9 – 15 EVENTS
AT THE ELSIE QUIRK LIBRARY

Now that you have the best card that you could ever have, a library card, you can unlock the goldmine of electronic resources available at the Sarasota County Libraries.

The Chilton Library database is one of the many resource gems available. This 24-hour on-call “mechanic” provides quick online access to repair, maintenance and service information on the most popular cars, trucks, vans and SUVs on the road today. The application is setup with flexible toolbars and navigation which allows you to jump between the various areas for each vehicle you are researching.

To get the detailed information that you need to tackle vehicle maintenance and repairs, simply enter the year, make, and model, of your vehicle. You then will be able to view maintenance and specification tables that provide the information you need for your vehicle. The Chilton Library contains step-by-step service and repair procedures, a labor estimating tool that will help you determine the time needed for your project, and vacuum diagrams to simplify troubleshooting your engine repair. Other available features are wiring diagrams to help explain system operations, close-up photographs and illustrations for visual support, technical service bulletins/recalls, and the option to easily print this information. They even provide ASE test prep quizzes for the most popular certification exams.

Visit your local Sarasota County Library or our website at scgov.net to view this database or one of the many other databases that are offered.
