The holiday season is approaching which means the hope of cooler temperatures and plans for celebrations and visiting with friends and family. During the holiday season, there will be the usual library closings in observance of these dates. The great news is that your Sarasota Library Card and pin number will allow you 24/7 access to a plethora of library services and resources. When you visit our website at www.scgov.net/library you can access eBooks, eMagazines, download free music, watch movies, conduct research through a variety of databases and even join an online book club. For more information or assistance with navigating our website and these resources, please stop by our Reference Desk where a skilled librarian can provide a one-on-one orientation.
We have several upcoming technology classes where you can learn more about your iPad or laptop and receive formal instruction on how to best utilize all the electronic resources that the library has to offer. Also, Library patrons with a current Sarasota County library card may check out an iPad at the Reference Desk, for a two hour period. To check out an iPad, you will need to provide your library card and a signed permission slip if under age 18.
